Hey there, I’m Fanny — the heart behind Slice of Cake London.
I want to share something deeply personal with you. Because this isn’t just a business story. This is a story about dreams, love, resilience… and a whole lot of cake.
It all began back in 2019. Together with my family, we took a leap of faith and opened a cozy little café called Amira’s Coffee House and Garden. Our dream? To create more than just a café. We wanted a warm, welcoming space where families could slow down, connect, laugh, and share sweet moments — over coffee, over homemade desserts, over life.
We poured our hearts into that place. Every corner, every table, every menu item was built with love. It wasn’t fancy — but it was real. And it quickly became a cherished gathering spot for birthdays, baby showers, small celebrations, and everyday magic. People didn’t just come for the food — they came for the feeling. And we were so proud of that.
But then… the world changed.
The pandemic hit, and like many small businesses, we were forced to close our doors. Just one year in, and everything we built was suddenly on hold. The financial loss was tough, yes. But what hurt the most were the emotional goodbyes. The quiet café. The paused dreams. The silence where there used to be laughter and the smell of freshly baked cakes.
I grieved that loss. It felt like the end of something beautiful. But deep down, I knew… it wasn’t really the end.
Because you see, when something is created with love — it finds a way to live on.
So in 2021, we decided to transform. We took that same passion, that same commitment to creating joy — and gave it a new home. That’s when Slice of Cake London was born.
Today, Slice of Cake is fully online — but our mission hasn’t changed. In fact, it’s stronger than ever. We’re here to bring the same joy, connection, and sweet moments into your home, wherever you are. We believe that every day holds a reason to celebrate — and we want to be part of that with you.
Every order we send out carries a piece of our story. Every cake we decorate is filled with the same care and love as the first one we ever made. And every message we receive from you — every photo you send, every smile we see — reminds us that this journey is still so alive.
Yes, it looked different for a while. There were tears, doubts, and days I almost gave up.
But today, I wake up knowing I’m still doing what I love — still baking joy into people’s lives, still sharing the magic of sweet moments with families like yours. And that? That’s the greatest blessing of all.
So if you’ve read this far — thank you. Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting not just a business, but a dream that refused to give up.
Here’s to many more memories. To cake, to connection, and to never losing sight of what makes life truly sweet. 🍰💛
With love,
